Entrepreneurship Training

If you want to open a store, sell handmade jewelry, even start a non-profit food pantry, this program is for you.  You’ll learn everything – including registration, structuring and organizing, developing a business plan, marketing, financing and more.  All  sessions are held at St. Pat and facilitated by the Build Institute.  

The 13 participants in the program’s first Cohort celebrated their graduation on August 9.  Click HERE for Details

To participate in this program, you must be age 55 or over, a resident of Detroit or Highland Park, and possess a high school diploma. You may take part in just one of the Cohort sessions.  

Current 8-Week Sessions at St. Patrick Senior Center

Cohort #2 – October 6 to December 1. Mondays from 5:30 to 8 PM.  Facilitated by Margo Dalal.  Graduation at 5:30 on Monday, December 1 at Build Institute

Cohort #3 – October 21 to December 9.  Tuesdays from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. Facilitated by Christa Stephens.  Graduation at 1:30 on Tuesday, December 9 at Build Institute
