Strides for Seniors is Back

The Strides for Seniors Walk & Expo returns to Palmer Park on Friday, September 29 – capping a month-long campaign celebrating Detroit’s neighborhood senior centers.

From 9 AM to 1 PM, the event features

  • Non-stop music, dance and exercise – zumba, hustle and more
  • A mile or more walk around one of Detroit’s most beautiful places,
  • Snacks and drinks, food trucks, and a box lunch
  • Health service vendors and wellness checks

Anyone who registers for $25 receive a t-shirt, entry into raffles for door prizes, and food truck access.  Attendees who don’t register for the shirt can still participate in all activities receive a free box lunch while supplies last.  Strides is produced by Detroit Area Agency on Aging, Detroit Parks & Recreation, and St. Patrick Senior Center.
