St. Pat Extends Services to SW Detroit Zip 48217

St. Pat’s staff and student nurses from Madonna University were on hand Sunday, May 29, to provide health screenings and resource sharing for older adults at the Eden Park carnival in Southwest Detroit.

This is part of an effort to reach out into other areas of our community, including Zip Code 48217, where Eden Park is being developed to provide recreation and wellness opportunities while improving the environment.  The area currently has limited services available for seniors – and in addition to a partnership with Kemeny Recreation Center, St. Pat is also offering:

  • Fresh produce boxes once a month for the next three months, to the first residents of the zip code, 65 and order, who register.
  • Access to healthy aging classes – including chronic disease management, cooking and nutrition classes and more
  • Free services from St. Pat Benefit Navigators, who provide assistance with MIBridges, Medicare/Medicaid services, internet and wireless discount services, and transportation to medical appointments and shopping.
