St. Pat Can Help You Get to Know More About the Internet

Shake hands with the internet!

Every day, there are more and more reasons to go online – to find out about benefits and health care, to save money with great deals, to keep in touch with family and friends, even to find a job.

Thanks to a partnership with Comcast, we can help St. Pat and community members improve their internet skills – and also save money.  Our Digital Navigators will be providing individual sessions and group classes on topics like these:

  • Learning about the Affordable Connectivity Program, which allows qualifying households to save up to $30 monthly on internet costs
  • Internet safety – how to avoid scams, “phishing,” revealing personal info…
  • Navigating the internet – Facebook, Google Docs, sharing photos, setting passwords…

St Pat members can also reserve time in our computer lab to explore the internet and improve digital skills on their own.  To make an appointment, call 313 788-7425, ext 220

You can learn more about the program by watching a 30-minute video HERE
