Community Health Worker Training

These nationally-certified positions help connect people needing health and social services with those who provide them – including outreach, maternity support, education, advocacy and informal counseling.  Training is provided virtually by the Wayne State University Community Health Worker Academy.

Positions are employed part-time at insurance companies, health systems, pharmacy chains and non-profits for $17 to $22 per hour.  To participate in this program, you must be age 55 or over, and a Michigan resident with a high school diploma.

Our next session will begin within the next month or so. If you’re interested, please submit the Interest Form HERE and we will follow up with the formal application process and any related events. (Be sure to check your email and spam folder for our response)
