As we wind down our 52nd year, we are grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Detroit’s aging community. St. Patrick Senior Center has certainly come a long way since we opened in June of 1973, serving seven meals that first day. Below you’ll find a summary of some of the services we provided in 2025, including the number of clients, classes, meals, and other statistics. Due to reductions in grant funding, 2026 will be a challenging yeart – but we are committed to providing the same level of service to everyone who depends on us.

Congregate meals (lunch) — 1,697 clients, 34,269 meals
Supplemental food — 1,024 clients, 8,424 access services
Nutrition education — 107 clients, 143 classes/sessions
Health Education — 650 clients, 3,426 classes/services
Dance Programs — 654 clients, 8,164 class attendance
Exercise Programs — 430 clients, 6,147 class attendance
In-Home Services — 72 clients, 2,691 hours
Social/Recreational Programs — 659 clients, 4,888 class/program attendance
Special Services — 535 clients, 1,840 services received
Cognitive/Emotional Fitness — 250 clients, 1,650 services received
Community/Benefits Services — 1,419 clients, 4,809 hours/items provided
Transportation to Medical Appts — 425 clients, 5,057 trips
Technology/Digital Training — 524 clients, 3,458 services/attendance
Services to Homebound — 56 clients, 1,648 contacts (in-person/home)
