A Very FOUI Weekend!

Parade weekend is the biggest one of the year in Detroit’s Irish community, and the FOUIs were all over the place on March 11, 12 and 13:  Arranging the painting of the shamrocks – with Chris McCarver spearheading and the FOUIs providing lunch on Friday; preparing the Corktown Race medals on Saturday; and of course the big races on a blowy, snowy Sunday morning.  The weekend was capped with a march down Michigan Ave, along with the Metro Detroit Police & Fire Pipe & Drums, and St. Pat Senior Center.

Contratulations to Race Director Doug Kurtis, chairmen Joe Parsky and Paul Doulette, bar chair Al Fox, and all the volunteers for another great event!
