A Bench for Clara and Katie!

On September 9, Ford Motor Company honored two of Detroit’s “Exceptional Women” by dedicating a bench in their honor at Sunset Park on the western tip of Belle Isle. The two women? Our own Clara Doutly, a St Pat member and Rosie the Riveter who recently celebrated her 100th birthday, and her great friend and companion Katie Moylan. Katie organized Clara’s milestone birthday party at the Gaelic League last October – and also held a picnic for the dedication last week. Pictured are Clara, Katy, and Tom O’Brien, a long-time St. Pat supporter, who attended with his dog, Conan.
