Over the past year and half, Comcast has become a great friend and supporter of St. Pat. Last year, we were one of three charities chosen to be part of Project UP, the company’s nationwide initiative dedicated to helping everyone achieve digital equity.
As part of the program, our digital navigators and nursing students worked individually and in groups with some of our members to help them improve their computer, tablet, and phone skills. They also helped them better understand and utilize the internet – which opens up a world of information and convenience.
Besides Project UP, Comcast has also supported us in many other ways – providing air conditioning units, sending volunteer employees to spruce up our grounds and garden, and more.
To top it all off, they filmed some of our members, right here at the center, talking about the importance of improving their digital skills. The video has been viewed in all kinds of platforms from TikTok to Instagram – and currently St. Pat is featured in a commercial running on cable and streaming services across the US
