SaTrice Named “Hometown Hero”

Each year, three community leaders are named “Hometown Heroes” as part of the St. Patrick Parade festivities in Detroit.

This year, we are pleased to count our Executive Director, SaTrice Coleman-Betts, among them.  SaTrice – along with Fr. Tim McCabe of the Pope Francis Center in downtown Detroit and Nickolas Zubok of the Dearborn Police department – are being recognized for their outstanding service in the community.

The parade takes place on Sunday, March 12, at 1 PM along Michigan Ave in Corktown.

That same day at 10 AM the annual Corktown Races – founded and still run by our friends the FOUIs – will also take place.  Proceeds from the event have benefitted St. Pat and other charities for over 40 years.  (Photo by Eric Seals, Detroit Free Press)
