Helping Prevent Kidney Disease

Dameon Wilburn, left, with the National Kidney Foundation, and AmeriCorps volunteer Sara Ibseilei met with St. Pat members on Thursday, July 13 – part of an ongoing program to help prevent kidney disease via a healthy lifestyle. Along with other health specialists, they’re visiting the center into August, focusing on a different topic each week – nutrition, avoiding sugar, exercise, etc. (AmeriCorps is an independent government agency that provides volunteers to non-profits.)
