Congratulations to the Graduates!

It was an amazing day – Saturday, August 9 – at the Build Institute on Michigan and Trumbull.  Thirteen participants from our first Entrepreneurship Cohort were honored at a graduation ceremony, after having completed eight weeks of training with facilitator Damon Thompson.

The sessions began at St. Pat Senior Center on June 14, and covered everything you need to know about starting your own small business.

Perhaps the most exciting part of  the program was developing a “pitch” – a presentation to potential funders to be rehearsed at the ceremony.  Every one of the 13 pitches was creative, innovative and exciting. Business ideas ranged from bean pies, to ergonomic bathroom tissue, to aprons, to technology training for seniors, to much more!

Congratulations to all – and best of luck with your business!
